HB 1363 Provides an employer may be liable for the actions of an employee if they were performing their employment duties and during it they caused injuries to another under the gender violence act. Establishes a 4-year statute of limitation to bring a claim of gender related violence.

HB 2068 Allows full-time employees in Cook County to use pre-tax dollars, via payroll deduction, for the purchase of a transit pass.

HB 2100 Provides that a person who financially exploits an elderly person or a person with a disability is guilty of a Class 1 felony if the elderly person is 70 years of age or older (instead of “over 70 years of age”) and the value of the property is $15,000 or more.

HB 2389 Clarifies that no vehicle can be stopped or searched solely on the basis of any objects placed or suspended between the driver and the front windshield that may obstruct the drivers view

HB 2431 Provides that a person may not operate a motor vehicle while using an electronic communication device to participate in any video conference or access any social media site.

HB 2493 Provides two weeks of unpaid leave for employees whose family or household member was killed in a crime of violence.

HB 3126 Provides that salvage vehicle certificate of title may be assigned to only one person. Also removes the ability for dealers, recyclers, rebuilders, scrap processors, or out-of-state salvage buyers to reassign or transfer a salvage vehicle certificate.

HB 3876 Provides that a resident of Illinois who purchases a vehicle in another state and transports that vehicle to Illinois must apply for the registration and certificate of title within 45 days after purchase of the vehicle.

SB 0040 Creates the Electric Vehicle Charging Act which requires newly constructed single-family homes and constructed or renovated multi-unit residential buildings to include electric vehicle charging systems.
