For Kim Auernheimer, success in the automotive industry was never part of the original plan — but once she stepped into it, she found a passion that would shape the next two decades of her life.
Today, Kim serves as MWACA’s Executive Secretary and is widely known for her leadership, operational expertise, and passion for helping shop owners grow both personally and professionally. But her journey into the industry began when her husband opened CS Automotive in 2006 while Kim was building a separate career in commercial property management. As the business expanded, so did the opportunity. “We reached a point where we had to make a decision — either scale back or fully commit to building something bigger together,” Kim says. “I chose to step into the business alongside him.”
That decision became far more than a career shift. It sparked a passion for leadership, operations, team development, and creating better experiences for both employees and customers. Over the next 20 years, Kim helped build and grow CS Automotive into a successful operation rooted in strong systems, intentional leadership, and a people-first mindset.
When asked about her favorite success tool, Kim doesn’t hesitate: “Organization!” And she means it. “Having systems, lists, processes, and plans in place helps me stay focused, prepared, and able to follow through,” she explains. “It gives me the ability to lead confidently, solve problems faster, and create a better experience for both my team and the people around me — and keep my sanity!” That blend of structure and heart has become one of Kim’s trademarks throughout her career.
Outside of work, Kim embraces adventure and creativity in equal measure. She loves traveling in nearly every form — from road trips and cruises to spontaneous weekend getaways — and enjoys everything from relaxing beach days to exploring the mountains. She also enjoys gardening, decorating, planning themed events, and creating memorable moments with family and friends, especially her granddaughter.
And her idea of the perfect free weekend? “A fun event or getaway, church, relaxation mixed with adventure… preferably drinking a glass in Italy or a margarita by the beach.”
After nearly 20 years of owning and operating CS Automotive, Kim and her husband sold their shops in April 2026. But while her role may be evolving, her commitment to the automotive industry is stronger than ever. “I truly love helping shop owners and managers succeed,” Kim says. “I’m excited to continue serving the automotive industry through training, coaching, speaking, and sharing the systems and lessons that helped us grow both professionally and personally.”
MWACA is proud to spotlight leaders like Kim Auernheimer — individuals who lead with passion, purpose, and a genuine desire to help others succeed.
