HB 2700: Kansans Gain New Right-to-Repair Protections -HB 2700 establishes the Kansas Digital Right-to-Repair Act, requiring manufacturers of many digital electronic devices to make repair information, replacement parts, diagnostic tools, and documentation available to device owners and independent repair businesses under specified conditions.

Supporters say consumers should have the freedom to repair products they own instead of being forced into expensive manufacturer-only repair programs or replacing otherwise functional devices.
